Roberto Banke

In 2009, while still in college, Roberto with his then wife Rosa, a dentist, decided to open a dental practice, despite the fact that they had no cash and no patients. Driven by a determination to succeed, Roberto devised methods of becoming known in his community at minimal cost. 


He began by visiting businesses in his immediate vicinity. With nothing more than simple communication and a basket of candy, he gradually became known in his neighborhood, then his town and then across Orange County. As he became known, the referrals started pouring in.


A year-and-a-half later, the practice was doing a million dollars in services per year. It continued to grow from there. As the word got out, other practitioners wanted to know how Roberto achieved this success. And thus Banke Global was born.

Replicating His Success

As Banke Global began working with other dentists to help them grow, Roberto knew he didn’t want to take on an ongoing management role in those practices. He just wanted to teach the staff how to create the growth he had created at Rosy Dental. And so he developed a pattern to achieve this.


He began by shadowing each dentist he was working with for days or a week to see how patients were welcomed into the office and how the production flow operated. At the same time, he assessed the abilities of the staff, especially the office manager. 


With that complete, he then implemented a unique and dynamic method of educating and motivating these staff. They learned that if they took responsibility for the expansion of the practice, the practice would begin to grow.


He then began to train the staff: How do they attract preferred cases to the practice? What is the most efficient way to schedule patients? How do they handle vendors and bills? And, of course, how do they keep production and collections growing? As these skills developed, everyone would thrive and their compensation would increase accordingly. 


In every office, this was a whole new ballgame! Finally, dentists were relieved of the administrative side of the practice. They had more time to spend time with their families or pursue interests outside the practice. A generous incentive system ensured that the staff who really committed themselves to building a bigger practice enjoyed the rewards of growth. 


In this way, Roberto was able to share his success, provide relief for the dentists and help their staff enjoy their work while reaping well-deserved rewards.
